Carmelo Anthony will continue his career with Houston Rockets as they are supposed to sign a $2.4 million contract today (13/8), according to Adrien Wojnarowski of ESPN. Anthony has traveled to Houston and will finish his physical before penning the deal.
Anthony waived his no-trade clause to allow Oklahoma City to move him to Atlanta in a three-way deal with Philadelphia and also received $25.4 million of his original 2018-19 salary minus a $2.4 million contract buyout with the Atlanta Hawks.
The 34-year-old All-Star forward averaged 16.2 points with the Thunder last season which is below his 24.1 points per game average in the NBA.
UPDATE: Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced on Monday, August 13 that the team has signed free agent forward Carmelo Anthony.
