Former world champion with Yugoslavia and two-time EuroLeague champion with Jugoplastica Dino Radja will be officially inducted into the Hall Of Fame on Friday (7/9).
Ahead of his induction, Radja remembers the one and only, the Mozart of basketball, Drazen Petrovic.
“We were great friends. He used to call me in the middle of the night talking about water polo, soccer, handball,” Radja noted, as adapted by masslive. “We would talk for an hour, at least every time.”
There’s only one thing Radja would wish for on this important day. “I wish he was alive to be here with me. He was a great guy a great friend of mine,” Radja mentioned. “He was a great guy, a great person, a great player. It was a huge loss personally and for the country.”
Radja will become the eighth European Hall Of Famer and the fourth Croatian to receive the honor after Kresimir Cocic, Drazen Petrovic and Mirko Novosel.
