Steve Nash was inducted to the Basketball Hall of Fame on Friday night, and his former teammate, Dirk Nowitzki could not be happier.
Dirk played with Nash in Dallas and the two had a connection on and off the court. In Nowitzki’s first year, Nash helped him adjust to the NBA and also handed out 797 assists to Dirk. The 40-year old German is honoring the Canadian playmaker by making a pitch to help him raise money for his charity organization: the Steve Nash Foundation.
His tweet, says it all:
In honor of my guy, Nashy, making the Hall of Fame and the 797 assists he dished out to me, I am giving his foundation an assist. Please join me in donating $13 to #13 at https://t.co/HP8TQ6Pz89
