It was rumored for a long time and Luol Deng finally has a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves. He gets reunited with his former coach at Chicago, Tom Thibodeau who is also the coach and the president of the Wolves.
The Timberwolves announced the transaction just a few hours after the initial reports.
Adrian Wojnarowski first reported that the deal was about to be finalized and a few minutes later, Shams Charania added the fact that it’s a one year, $2,4 million deal.
After playing just 13 minutes last season, Deng, 33, reached a buyout agreement with the Lakers earlier this month.
Deng remains the most important player in British Basketball history and an icon in the UK.
