The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to fire coach Ty Lue after the team’s unimpressive 0-6 start to the season, according to reports from Shams Charania of The Athletic and Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Per Wojnarowski’s reports, Cavs assistant coach Larry Drew will serve as interim coach. The players and Lue have been informed of the firing, according to both aforementioned sources.
After losing LeBron James this past summer, the team has made its worst start since the 1995-96 season with six consecutive losses.
