On Saturday, Daniel Theis suffered a right foot injury against the Detroit Pistons and today the Celtics announced that the German big man will remain out indefinitely after sustaining a slight tear of the plantar fascia in his right foot.
Celtics head coach Brad Stevens told the press that the injury does not require surgery and that he doesn’t expect it to be “season-derailing”, as adapted by USA Today.
Prior to his injury, Theis posted an average of 6 points and 3.4 rebounds in five games this season.
