Carmelo Anthony’s brief stop at Texas, Houston with the Rockets is over, as Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported.
The 10-time All-Star played in ten games for the Rockets this year, but his mediocre performance did not help the team succeed. In these games, Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
After his official release, he is expected to try and find his new team for the rest of the season and as Wojnarowski states, Anthony’s wisest course of action could be exercising patience and allowing changes in league rosters – through trades, injuries, team needs, in order to create more playing options for him.
There have been rumors that Carmelo will either join the Philadelphia 76ers or the defending champions, Golden State Warriors but nothing has been reported just yet.
