After being the protagonist in the victory of the Pistons over his former team, the Toronto Raptors, Jose Calderon spoke to El Transistor and talked about his coexistence with LeBron James or how he has evaluated the debut of Luka Doncic in the NBA:
“We all expected him to play well for what he had done . You always have the doubt that there is here about the Europeans, but what he had done with Real Madrid in the Euroleague or in the ACB League, we haven’t seen from those who came to the NBA. Nobody has been an MVP at the age of 19, so we all knew that he was more than prepared and that he had enough talent to do what he is doing. He is playing very well and I am glad also because he is in a franchise where I spent a year. I’m sure he’s comfortable there.”
When choosing the best teammate he has had in the last fourteen years, Calderon did not show any hesitation:
“After what I saw last year with LeBron James … I played with great players, they all had many special things, but I have to say that the most complete is LeBron for what he did on the court. There are no days off for him. Many take care of themselves, but he has a special talent and is capable of doing many things. In the end, he is able to score, rebound, pass, defend … He has everything. That is what makes him more special than the others, “he concluded.
