Orlando Magic got their seventh win in nine games beating the New York Knicks with 131-117. They’re climbing up the standings simultaneously with Nikola Vucevic’s stats rise. On Sunday, the in-form center piled up 28 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Evan Fournier added 19 points.
The Knicks suffered a fifth straight defeat despite Enes Kanter monster game at Orlando. He started the second half and finished up with 21 points and 19 rebounds in 38 minutes. Frank Ntilikina didn’t score in 22 minutes, while Mario Hezonja didn’t play due to illness.
Marc Gasol notched 26 points and 13 rebounds in 36 minutes. He sank four three-pointers in Memphis Grizzlies’ 100-87 away win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Omri Casspi added six points in 11 minutes. Dario Saric posted 14 points with four threes for the losing side.
Damian Lillard scored 40 points leading the Portland Trail Blazers to their 119-109 away victory over the Washington Wizards. Jusuf Nurkic helped out with 13 points, 14 rebounds and a season-high eight assists. Tomas Satoransky got 10 points for the home team, while Ian Mahinmi remained on the bench.
Marco Belinelli helped the San Antonio Spurs overcome the Golden State Warriors with a 104-92 win by scoring 12 points in 25 minutes. Jonas Jerebko posted eight points for the NBA champions, who have now lost five of their last seven matches.
Goran Dragic missed Miami Heat’s game with the Los Angeles Lakers because of a right knee problem and will be further evaluated on Monday. His team suffered a home defeat in his absence, as LeBron James led the Lakers to a 113-97 away win with 51 points.
