Memphis Grizzlies head coach J.B. Bickerstaff believes that if the Memphis Grizzlies (12-7) keep winning games then his star player Marc Gasol can be a legitimate candidate for winning MVP.
“Marc is a hell of a player,” Bickerstaff said when asked by Eurohoops about Gasol’s performances (18.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 1.6 steals, 1.3 blocks) so far this season and if he’ll be in the conversation for MVP. “There’s some outside noise because of last year’s situation but that was a difficult situation. Marc is an elite center. He’s one of the best two-way players that we have on our team. If we keep winning and he continues playing like he is, then he’ll be in that (MVP) conversation.”
