Pau Gasol has been on the sidelines since the beginning of November, but still hasn’t overcome his left foot injury. To make matters even worse, Gregg Popovich said on Wednesday that the 38-year-old Spaniard center has a stress fracture in his foot.
“He got a second opinion that it was as stress fracture. That’s what they told me, so it’s not a secret I guess. So they put him back in the boot” Popovich said to reporters in Minnesota without mentioning a timetable for Gasol’s return.
Up to his injury, the experienced center had played in San Antonio Spurs’ nine first games of the 2018-19 season. He averaged 6.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists and one block per match.
