The Greek Freak rebounded from his worst game of the season to match his career high with 44 points and the Bucks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 114-102 despite missing two starters.
Two nights after being held to a season-low 12 points in a loss to Indiana, Giannis Antetokounmpo was 14 of 19 from the field, made 16 of 21 foul shots, and had 14 rebounds and eight assists.
“You’ve got to put that game in the past,” Antetokounmpo said. “You put it in the past and move forward.”
Nikola Jokic scored 24 points and missed the triple-double for one assist as the Denver Nuggets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 109-98 after Jamal Murray and Russell Westbrook had a heated exchange.
Westbrook and Murray pushed each other and argued after lining up next to each other for a jump ball in the final seconds. Jokic tried to get between them, and Westbrook threatened to beat him up while being restrained.
The Nuggets remain tied with the Warriors at the top of the West.
