Derrick Rose hit the buzzer-beating game-winner for the Minnesota Timberwolves in their 116-114 home win over the Phoenix Suns. Dario Saric helped out with nine points. Luol Deng also played but failed to score. After playing a grand total of 108 minutes since the beginning of the NBA 2018-19 Regular Season, Dragan Bender started and posted a 12-point-10-rebound double-double in 29 minutes for the Suns, while Elie Okobo had four points in six minutes.
Danilo Gallinari (back) was out, Serbs Boban Marjanovic and Milos Teodosic didn’t play with the latter remaining inactive, and Marcin Gortat (3pts, 2reb) was reduced to a bench role. However, the Los Angeles Clippers snapped a five-game losing streak grabbing a 103-95 win over the San Antonio Spurs in the A&T Center. Marco Belinelli scored 12 points for the losing side, Davis Bertans had six and Jakob Poeltl posted two and Pau Gasol only had one board.
In the other Sunday game, the Indiana Pacers overpowered the Charlotte Hornets, 120-95, at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Europeans Domantas Sabonis and Bojan Bogdanovic scored 16 points apiece for the hosts. Nicolas Batum and Willy Hernangomez notched six each for the losing side, and Tony Parker added five of his own.
