Nikola Mirotic is among the players the New Orleans Pelicans put on the table during discussions with teams in the Anthony Davis’ stakes. ESPN’s Zach Lowe mentioned during his podcast on Monday that two teams told him that Mirotic, Julius Randle and E’Twaun Moore were made available by the Pelicans for Draft picks.
The turmoil following 25-year-old Davis’ request for a trade generated talks in New Orleans. The organization is actively seeking to trade the Kentucky alumni, but isn’t in a rush to seal a deal. Nobody could be absolutely sure, not even other NBA teams, what the Pelicans are actually ready to bargain ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.
Mirotic, who will be a free agent this summer, is averaging 16.7 points this year putting himself on track for his best NBA season. He also has 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 assists per 2018-19 Regular Season game.
