Nikola Jokic’s success in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets influences and inspires many all over the world but maybe most of all, the people of his native town Sombor in Serbia.
Jokic attended the Dositej Obradovic elementary school in Sombor and that is exactly where the artist Andrej Josifovski aka “Pijanista” (The Pianist) painted a mural of the Nuggets star along with the motto: “Don’t be afraid to fail big”, which Jokic himself used on an occasion, citing actor Denzel Washington.
