Nikola Jokic didn’t face Luka Doncic in the game between Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks Friday (22/2) but was nevertheless asked about the Slovenian player’s ROY-caliber debut season in the NBA.
“He’s phenomenal. His size, his court vision, his ability to score. Kind of everything. He played in a really good system in Europe. Now, he’s in a really good system here. He’s young, he needs to learn a couple of things but he’s gonna be good,” Jokic said to reporters on Doncic after the win of his team over the Mavs.
While Doncic was out due to a sore knee, Jokic contributed 19 points, 13 rebounds, and eight assists to help the Nuggets beat Dallas. The Serbian center fell just two assists shy of his 13th triple-double this season.
