Igor Kokoskov took over the Phoenix Suns last summer becoming the first NBA head coach born and raised outside of North America. Eurohoops caught up with Devin Booker and asked his impressions from the 47-year-old coach. The 22-year-old American guard underlined that Kokoskov’s IQ drew his intention from the start.
Booker justified his statement explaining: “Being a student of the game and understanding the game. We have really in-depth conversations about the game. Through those conversations you can tell how much he cares, how important basketball is to him”.
The Suns, already eliminated from the 2019 NBA playoffs, are 15-51 this season. Booker himself has taken part in 51 games averaging 24.9 points, 6.6 assists and 4 rebounds.
