Luka Doncic notched 19 points and took down a career-high 15 boards, but was held one assist shy from a triple-double. To make matters worse, he suffered a left knee injury. He did return to the court, but ultimately fell short from leading the Dallas Mavericks to the win against the Houston Rockets despite nearing a triple-double on Sunday at the American Airlines Center.
The 20-year-old Slovenian added a pair of steals and a pair of rejections to his tally, but was just 5/16 from the field in 37 minutes of the 2018-19 Regular Season match. He’s now averaging 21.1 points, 7.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.4 blocks per contest in his first NBA season.
