Both the Utah Jazz and Rudy Gobert himself bounced back on Saturday. A couple of days after the loss to the Atlanta Hawks, the 26-year-old French center followed his 12-point, 11-rebound performance with a 21-point, 14-rebound double-double. The Jazz finished their four-game road trip with an easy victory against the shorthanded Chicago Bulls.
“It was a rough night at Atlanta. That loss kinda was a good slap in the face. I think we came locked in today. We started the game the right way defensively and carried it into offense” Gobert mentioned following his 21 points, 14 rebounds, four blocks and two assists during the NBA 2018-19 Regular Season contest.
His 58th double-double of the year combined with a 43-30 W-L record. The Jazz are now 2.5 wins away from a home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. “It would be great to have the home-court advantage. However, if we don’t, I like our chances on the road against anyone” Gobert said.
