Nikola Jokic went off for 16 points, eight rebounds, six helpers and two rejections, but the Houston Rockets overpowered the Denver Nuggets at the Toyota Center. A short road trip will conclude on Friday with the 24-year-old Serb and his teammates facing the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The loss against the Texans dropped the Nuggets to 50-24. They still sit in Western Conference’s second place, but are now trailing first-placed Golden State Warriors by one win. The Rockets and the Portland Trail Blazers are three wins behind them.
