Sacramento Kings forward Nemanja Bjelica said that there’s nothing like of playing for the Serbian national team for him since the feeling is incomparable with everything else he experiences as a basketball player.
“When you play for your national team it’s something really special. You can’t compare it with NBA or with EuroLeague. It’s the same sport but you take a lot of pride when you represent your country,” Bjelica said during an interview for the Kings.
Bjelica played for the Serbian national team in the September’s World Cup Qualifiers, making his comeback with the “Orlovi” after a three-year absence. The 30-year-old player had been forced to skip the 2016 Olympic Games and the 2017 EuroBasket due to injury problems and his last major international tournament was the EuroBasket of 2015.
