Following a series of knee injuries and rumors about his future with the Chicago Bulls, Derrick Rose was indeed traded to the New York Knicks in the summer of 2016. He was on camera when he learned from his agent that his hometown team decided to move him and got emotional.
The 2011 MVP struggled to recapture his form after his injuries. On June 22nd of 2016, the day he learned he was traded, he was filming the documentary titled “Pooh: The Derrick Rose Story”, which aired Thursday night. Rose was talking passionately about the Bulls up to the moment he received the phone call about the trade.

Rose ended up playing 64 games with the Knicks during the 2016-17 Regular Season. He continued his NBA career with the Cleveland Cavaliers before joining the Minnesota Timberwolves in March of 2018. He averaged 18.8 points per game this past campaign.
