Despite dropping Game 1, the Toronto Raptors took the Orlando Magic out of the 2019 NBA Playoffs in five matches. Holding Nikola Vucevic to 11.2 points per game in the series was one of the main reasons the Canadian organization advanced to the second round.

In Game 5, the 28-year-old Montenegrin center only put up six points with 3/10 from the field. He ended his 2018-19 campaign with seven rebounds and one dime as well. “We’re disappointed we didn’t put up a better fight, especially tonight. This is going to sting for us a little while” Vucevic admitted.

He added: “We couldn’t step our game up, which our opponents did. It was a good learning experience for us. We will be better next time. We can be proud of making the playoffs after such a long time.”

On his future with the Magic and Tuesday’s contest potentially being his last with the team, Vucevic explained: “It never crossed my mind during the game. It’s too early too talk about it.”
