After averaging 23.1 points, 12.1 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game against the San Antonio Spurs in the opening round of the 2019 NBA Playoffs, Nikola Jokic started the Western Conference Semifinals series versus the Portland Trail Blazers with 37 points, nine rebounds, six dimes, three steals and two blocks in 41 minutes. His dominating performance just a couple of days following Game 7 versus the Spurs handed the Denver Nuggets the 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
“I was aggressive a little bit more” the Joker mentioned after the contest and added: “Both teams didn’t play a lot of defense, but we found the way to win. That’s the most important thing.”
Jokic continued his impressive performances versus the Blazers becoming the fourth Nugget with multiple 35-games in one postseason joining Carmelo Anthony, Alex English and David Thompson.
