The Denver Nuggets dropped Game 2 of the best-of-seven series versus the Portland Trail Blazers. Nikola Jokic was indeed contained by the visitors. However, the 24-year-old Serbian big once again showcased his unique passing abilities dishing a between-the-legs helper to Paul Millsap for a three-point play midway through the third quarter. The Pepsi Center crowd thoroughly enjoyed the play.
The Joker finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists in 37 minutes, but his team suffered the home loss in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals series. “They were aggressive as a team, more aggressive than us. The energy was kind of bad. It was a weird game for us. They can play better than that” he mentioned after the contest.
Down the stretch, Jokic pushed Enes Kanter. His opponent landed on Torry Craig who earlier in the match broke his nose. Jamal Murray took exception to Kanter for staring down his fallen teammate, an all-out scuffle followed and resulted to a double technical. Asked about the incident, the Serbian big pointed out: “Its the playoffs. We want to win, they want to win.”
