The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Boston Celtics, 113-101, at the TD Garden on Monday. Their road win gained them a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference Semifinal best-of-seven series.

Giannis Antetokounmpo got in foul trouble early in the second half, but his teammates secured a double-digit advantage during the third quarter. The Greek Freak later returned to extend his dominating performance and finish with 39 points including 17 in the last period. He tallied 16 boards, four dimes, one steal and one rejection as well.

George Hill poured 15 points leading the reserves in their 32-7 advantage in Game 4. Starting Nikola Mirotic put up nine points and six rebounds, fellow European Ersan Ilyasova posted six points, six boards, three helpers and two steals from the bench and Pau Gasol (left ankle) remained sidelined.

The hosts built an 11-point lead, before they were beaten down by Mike Budenholzer’s reserves during the third period. Kyrie Irving had a 23-point, 10-assist double-double and Al Horford scored 20 points, but weren’t enough. Europeans Daniel Theis and Guerschon Yabusele didn’t leave the bench.

Game 5 will be played at Milwaukee on Wednesday. The Bucks will have the opportunity to advance with a victory at the Fiserv Forum, while their opponents will need the away win to stay alive.
