Neemias Queta will return to Utah State for his sophomore NCAA season. The 19-year-old Portuguese center initially declared for the NBA draft, but withdrew his name from consideration ahead of the deadline for early entrants announcing his decision via video on Twitter. Early projections landed him late in the first round of the June 20th draft.
Early entrants can withdraw from the draft and retain college eligibility until May 29th. Many upstarts are expected to indeed extract themselves from the procedures preferring to extend their careers either in college or professionally and keep their NBA draft options open for the future.
