Despite already planning for Zalgiris Kaunas’ next season, Sarunas Jasikevicius hasn’t yet ruled out moving to the NBA. “Conversations with NBA teams still going on” he briefly answered a question about his future, according to Lithuanian outlet Lrytas.
Representatives from both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Cleveland Cavaliers have traveled to Lithuania and already talked with the 43-year-old coach. Jasikevicius himself has repeatedly stated that he wants to remain Zalgiris’ head coach, but is considering his NBA options.
Saras recently concluded his 2018-19 campaign leading his team to the LKL Championship, title he conquered for the fourth time as the successful club’s head coach. His side’s EuroLeague run previously ended at the Playoffs, one step before the Final Four.
