The Minnesota Timberwolves are hiring the Brooklyn Nets player development coach Pablo Prigioni as an assistant coach, according to Adrian Wojnarowski. Under coach Ryan Saunders, his focus will be the offensive end.

Prigioni joined the NBA at age 35 as the oldest rookie in league history and had stints with three teams – Knicks, Rockets, Clippers – near the end of his 22-year-long career. In Houston, he worked with the current Minnesota President Gersson Rosas who filled various roles during his tenure with the Rockets.

Prigioni started his coaching career in Europe with a short stint as Baskonia’s head coach after which he moved to the NBA and joined the Brooklyn Nets as an assistant.
