Kevin Durant himself confirmed that he suffered from a ruptured Achilles tendon and that he underwent surgery in order to repair the damage.
Durant is expected to return to action at some point during next season. The big question remains if he will exercise his extension option with the Warriors, which will pay him $31,5 millions for next season, or if he will entertain offers for a new contract as a free agent despite his injury.
