The Sacramento Kings announced that Igor Kokoskov will be a part of head coach Luke Walton’s staff as an assistant in 2019-2020.
Kokoskov was served as the Phoenix Suns head coach in 2018-2019. The Serbian coach was fired in April following the team’s 19-63 run.
Before joining the Suns and becoming the first ever European-born head coach in the NBA, Kokoskov had been an assistant in numerous NBA clubs, such as the Detroit Pistons (with which he won the championship in 2004), L.A. Clippers, Orlando Magic, Cleveland Cavaliers, the Suns and most recently, the Utah Jazz.
