The Dallas Mavericks will meet with Kristaps Porzingis when free agency opens on June 30 and plan to offer him a full five-year, 158 million dollars maximum contract, according to Shams Charania.
The New York Knicks didn’t sign Porzingis to a rookie extension back in October 2018 and he has become a restricted free agent this offseason.
Dallas acquired the 23-year-old All-Star forward in a trade with the Knicks on January 31, 2019, but Porzingis has been recovering from the ACL injury he suffered on February 6, 2018, against the Milwaukee Bucks and is yet to make his return.
