CSKA Moscow has extended a two-year offer to former All-EuroLeague guard Malcolm Delaney according to Eurohoops sources.
Delaney’s priority in offseason will be to find an NBA contract. The 30-year-old American guard will thus wait until around the mid of July to see the developments in the NBA free agency before making any decision regarding his future.
CSKA, the reigning EuroLeague champion, appears to be the only club able to provide Delaney with a contract that will convince the player to return to Europe. Delaney already has a solid offer on his hands to return to the Chinese League, where he played in 2018-2019 with the Guangdong Southern Tigers.
Delaney last played in Europe with Russian side Lokomotiv Kuban in 2015-2016. The former Hokie led the team to the EuroLeague Final Four for the first time in the history of the club by averaging 16.3 points, 5.5 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game. He was named to the All-EuroLeague First Team in the process.
In 2016, Delaney signed his first NBA deal, a two-year contract with the Atlanta Hawks.
