The Milwaukee Bucks scheduled a public celebration of Giannis Antetokounmpo winning the MVP on Sunday, July 14 at Fiserv Forum.
The same date has also been proclaimed ‘Giannis Antetokounmpo Day’ throughout Milwaukee County by County Executive Chris Abele.

EXECUTIVE PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, The NBA Most Valuable Player Award is presented to the NBA player who showcased an exemplary performance during the regular season; and
WHEREAS, Giannis Antetokounmpo played a major role in leading the Milwaukee Bucks in an outstanding season with the best record upon entering the NBA Playoffs; and
WHEREAS, Giannis is a well-rounded player who contributes to the Milwaukee Bucks as an excellent scorer, by averaging 27.7 points per game, as well as being a superb defender; and
WHEREAS, Giannis is an exceptional example of what Milwaukee and the Bucks stand for in terms of integrity and humility, indicating that he is more than just an excellent basketball player; and
WHEREAS, Giannis Antetokounmpo has been honored for this extraordinary season with the 2019 NBA Most Valuable Player Award; now, therefore

For his commitment in guiding the Milwaukee Bucks through an outstanding season and bringing passion to the Milwaukee community, which has been acknowledged by receiving the 2019 NBA Most Valuable Player Award.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the MVP of this past NBA season after leading the Milwaukee Bucks to the NBA-best 60 wins and to the Eastern Conference Finals while averaging 27.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks and 1.3 steals.
