Furkan Korkmaz has agreed to a two-year deal to return to the Philadelphia Sixers, as Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Despite a long wait the 21 years old forward will remain with the Sixers, after signing a new deal. It was clear from the get-go that Korkmaz’s priority was to remain in the NBA. That’s why Korkmaz accepted a minimum deal, which is guaranteed only for the first year.
After all, with the clock ticking and no news about him, there were a lot of speculations about a possible European return.
In the end, Korkmaz will have one more chance with the Sixers to showcase his talents after playing a total of 62 games in his two first NBA seasons.
A star on his country, Korkmaz is expected to compete with the Turkish national team in the upcoming FIBA World Cup.
