As Adrian Wojnarowski reported, Pau Gasol has a deal for a one-year contract with the Portland Trail Blazers. This will be the 6th NBA team for the 39 years old legendary Spanish player who was also a member of the Grizzlies, the Lakers, the Bulls, the Spurs and more recently the Bucks.
Gasol, who is considered the best Spanish player in history and one of the top all-time players of European basketball, is aiming to play at least until next year’s Olympic Games.
His vast experience, which includes two NBA championship title with the Lakers and a FIBA World Cup with the Spanish national team, can be an asset for the up-and-coming team of Portland which has high goals.
That was Gasol’s main wish, to play for a team which can be considered a contender.
