The Washington Wizards announced that they have waived Latvian forward Anzejs Pasecniks, few days after the player signed with the club.
Pasecniks played 13 minutes off the bench in the preseason game with the Philadelphia 76ers. He scored four points and grabbed three rebounds in a 112 – 93 win for Washington.
In 2018-2019, Pasenicks played with Spanish club Gran Canaria. The 23-year-old big man averaged 7.2 points and 3.6 rebounds in 16:52 minutes over 22 EuroLeague games in 2018-2019.
The Wizards also waived forward Jalen Jones who played 13 EuroLeague games with Baskonia in 2019-2020.
