Teammate Kristaps Porzingis faced the loud boos at the Madison Square Garden, while Luka Doncic kept his triple-double form making some more history in the process. Despite his 33 points, 11 assists and ten boards, the Dallas Mavericks suffered defeat at the hands of the New York Knicks on Thursday evening.
The 20-year-old Slovenian recorded his fourth 30-point triple-double in the NBA, three of those coming this season, in November only halfway through the month to be even more precise. Somehow his team dropped all three games, one to the Los Angeles Lakers and the others to the Knicks.
The Mavericks did not add on their 2019-20 NBA Regular Season wins, but Doncic himself tied Jerry West in second place in the list of players with the most 30-point triple-doubles within their two first NBA campaigns, per Elias Sports. Far ahead in first place is Oscar Robertson who had 41.
