The Clippers grabbed a 150-101 victory against the Hawks and Paul George shined in his homecourt debut with a stunning performance of 37 points, becoming the player with most points scored in less than 21 minutes in NBA history!
Besides his 37 points, he also added four boards, three assists and two steals in just a little over the 20-minute mark (20:10”).
George is back and healthier than ever, ready to lead Clippers this season. “I got [a] new shoulder,” he said after the game. “I can’t say anything else to that: I got new shoulders. And they haven’t been this healthy in a long time”.
I’m a confident player. It wasn’t more so a confidence [thing] by me saying I’m back. It’s just a statement. I’m just happy to be back in this game.”
