Giannis Antetokounmpo registered his 16th double-double this campaign by scoring 28 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in 27 minutes to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to a 104 – 90 win over the Detroit Pistons and the 13-3 in the NBA regular season.
It was the 16th double-double in a row for Giannis and the seventh straight victory for Milwaukee. The reigning MVP also had three assists, two steals and one block.
Bucks’ Thanasis Antetokounmpo and Dragan Bender, plus Pistons’ Sekou Doumbouya spent two scoreless minutes on the court each.
“28” was also the magic number for Bojan Bogdanovic. The Croatian forward dropped this number of points as the Utah Jazz beat the New Orleans Pelicans 128 – 120 at home to capture their third win in a row.
Bogdanovic also posted five rebounds and five assists. Rudy Gobert was out due to a left ankle injury.
For the Pelicans, Nicolo Melli had six points on 2/3 triples in 16 minutes off the bench.
In Indiana, Domantas Sabonis dropped a team-high 25 points and also got nine rebounds while stealing the ball four times as the Indiana Pacers downed Orlando Magic 111 – 106.
Evan Fournier scored a season-high-tying 26 points for Orlando that lost in its second game in a row. The Magic have been without All-Star center Nikola Vucevic.
Goga Bitadze came off the bench and added six points in 15 minutes for Indiana. The Georgian center was a +15 for his team while on the floor.
