Giannis Antetokounmpo had his second 50+ points career game and the Milwaukee Bucks got the 122-108 win over the Utah Jazz. their eighth straight victory and their biggest winning streak since the 2001-02 season.
“We don’t want to lose twice by the same team, we wanted revenge”, said Giannis, since the Jazz are one of the three teams which have beaten so far the Bucks in the season. Still, Milwaukee leads the East with a solid 14-3 record.
The Greek Freak also had 14 rebounds, six assists and made no turnovers, dominating the paint in the absence of Jazz’ s injured French star Rudy Gobert. However, it was a block by Brook Lopez over Donovan Mitchell that sealed the deal in the closing seconds. Croatian sharp-shooter Bojan Bogdanovic was the Jazz’s top scorer with 24 points.
This was the 17th straight double-double for Giannis, one for each game of the season. He is the first player since Bill Walton and the 1976-77 season who registers this kind of a streak.
