Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Dallas Mavericks guard/forward Luka Doncic were named NBA Eastern Conference and Western Conference Players of the Month, respectively.
Antetokounmpo and Doncic made some history with their combined win since this is the first time ever in the league that two Europeans are named Players of the Month, per information by NBA.
The award considers games being played in October and November. During that period, Giannis averaged 30.9 points, 13.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks per game while shooting 56.0% from the field to lead the Bucks to a franchise-best-tying 17 – 3 record.
Doncic notched team-highs 30.6 points, 9.9 rebounds, 9.6 assists and 1.53 steals per game as the Mavericks had a 13-6 entrance in the season. In his sophomore year in the league, the Slovenian player has already put his name in MVP talks.
