Boston Celtics announced that they assigned French big man Vincent Poirier to their G-League department, Maine Red Claws.
Poirier, who the team signed to a two-year contract in the offseason, has averaged 1.3 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.3 blocks per game, shooting 44.4% from the field in seven games so far in his rookie season with the Celtics.
The 27-year-old center could make his G-League debut on Thursday, as Maine takes over Wisconsin Herd.
