Jokic is the big winner of Wednesday’s Euro-duels

Nikola Jokic just missed the triple-double as the Nuggets rallied for a 113-104 win over the Orlando Magic.

The Serb big man had 18 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds against Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic, who scored 20 points. French guard Evan Fournier added 13 points, while Jamal Murray, with 33 points, was Denver’s top scorer with the Nuggets climbing back to the third spot of the West.

In Oklahoma City, German guard Dennis Schroder scored 31 points, and Thunder overcame a 24-point deficit and beat the Memphis Grizzlies 126-122.

Italian forward Danilo Gallinari added 20 points while Lithuanian Jonas Valanciunas scored 24 for the Grizzlies.

In Washington, the Bulls came back from an 18-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat the Wizards 110-109 after overtime.

Lauri Markkanen’s alley-oop basket gave the Bulls their first lead since the first quarter, 106-105, with 1:47 left in overtime. In total, he had 31 points and nine rebounds, while Latvian Davis Bertans led Washington with 26 points.

Czech Point guard Tomas Satoransky added 17 points for the Bulls upon his old team.

The Cleveland Cavaliers hung on for a 100-98 win over the Hornets with Turkish forward Cedi Osman scoring 18 points.

Kyle Lowry had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for a triple-double and the Raptors had an 11-0 run in the third quarter on their way to a 112-99 victory over the Pistons. Spaniard Serge Ibaka also had a big game with 25 points and 13 rebounds for the winners, who lost Marc Gasol due to injury.

Kemba Walker scored 32 points as the Celtics defeated the Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks 109-103. Latvian Kristaps Porzingis led Dallas with 23 points and 13 rebounds but fouled out in the last minute

Damian Lillard had 31 points and a season-high 13 assists and the Trail Blazers beat the Golden State Warriors 122-112.

Brandon Ingram scored 34 points and New Orleans snapped its 13-game losing streak with a 107-99 win against the short-handed Minnesota Timberwolves.

And in what turned out to be one of the biggest games of the night Kendrick Nunn scored 26 points to help the Miami Heat hand the 76ers their first home loss of the season, 108-104. Slovenian Goran Dragic missed his ninth straight game due to his groin injury and wasn’t available for the Heat.
