Montenegrin center Nikola Vucevic came three assists short of a triple-double to lead the Orlando Magic to their second win in a row. He scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out seven dimes as the Magic beat the Miami Heat 105 – 85 at home.
French wing Evan Fournier contributed 15 points to Orlando’s victory. Slovenian guard Goran Dragic finished with eight points and six rebounds for the Heat. He and his teammates faced shooting struggles, finishing with 7/37 3-pointers.
The Boston Celtic’s European duo of big men delivered in the 109 – 106 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Turkish center Enes Kanter finished with a double-double of 14 points and 11 rebounds in 24 minutes off the bench while German center Daniel Theis had 14 points plus eight rebounds in 24 minutes plus the block on Trae Young’s game-winning attempt.
Ricky Rubio posted 10 assists to go with his nine points in the Phoenix Suns’ 120 – 112 win over the New York Knicks. It was the Spanish guard’s 12th game this season with 10 assists or more.
French guard Frank Ntilikina completed the game with six points in 16 minutes as a substitute.
