Sekou Doumbouya keeps making the most out of his role as a starter with the Detroit Pistons. In his fourth consecutive game in the starting lineup, the French rookie forward scored 15 points in 33 minutes in his team’s 115 – 113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Doumbouya has now averaged 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 1.0 steals in the last fourth matches.
Svi Mykhailiuk was also a starter for the Pistons. The Ukrainian wing finished with 12 points plus five assists in the 12 minutes he spent on the floor.
Turkish swingman Cedi Osman had 17 points for the Cavaliers while Ante Zizic posted five points and nine rebounds in 16 minutes off the bench.
In Phoenix, Nemanja Bjelica scored 19 points to help the Sacramento Kings defeat the Suns 119 – 117 after coming back from down 21. It was the Serbian forward top-scoring game in 2020 so far.
Bjelica’s fellow Serbian player Bogdan Bogdanovic was out due to right knee soreness.
Spanish guard Ricky Rubio had eight points, nine assists and five rebounds, Croatian forward Dario Saric five points and French guard Elie Okobo six points for the Suns.
Serge Ibaka notched a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds in the Toronto Raptors‘ 99 – 101 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Spanish forward was the second-highest scoring player of his team behind Kyle Lowry (24 points).
Croatian forward Mario Hezonja scored five points for the Blazers.
