Some moments before the Los Angeles Lakers took on the Golden State Warriors, beating them 127-97 and winning Game 3 of their NBA Playoffs Second Round series, LeBron James shared exciting news about his son’s future.
Bronny James, 18 years old, decided to commit to the University of South California, playing his one and probably only year in college with the Trojans in the 2023-24 NCAA season. This season he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, playing also both the McDonald’s All-American and the Nike Hoop Summit games.
Following the victory against the Warriors, the legendary superstar talked about his son Bronny’s decision. “Congratulations to my son on his next journey and on picking a great university at USC. I’m proud of him. This is an incredible thing… To my knowledge, this is the first one out of the James Gang to go to college”, LeBron James said.
Then, he went on to talk about the possibility of the two of them playing together. “I was serious, and I’m still serious about it. My son is gonna take his journey, and we’re gonna support him whatever he decides to do. Because that’s my aspiration and my goal, it doesn’t mean that it’s his. And I’m absolutely okay with it, my job is to support my son whatever he decides to do”, the 38-year-old commented.
