According to Draft Express’ Jonathan Givony, Jan Vide has committed to UCLA after being named the MVP of the 2023 Adidas Next Generation Tournament, leading Real Madrid to the fourth U18 continental championship.
The 18-year-old Slovenian guard had an amazing run in the 2023 Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Kaunas, averaging 19.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, shooting 52.9% from two.
He had 27 points against FC Barcelona, before scoring 19 points with 7 rebounds and 6 assists in the Final against Petteri Koponen’s Select Team, won by Real Madrid 71-60.
Being named MVP, he was inserted in the All-ANGT First Team with Mouhamed Faye of U18 Next Generation Select Team, U18 Kasparas Jakucionis of U18 FC Barcelona, Bogoljub Markovic from U18 Mega MIS Belgrade, and Nikola Topic from U18 Crvena Zvezda Belgrade.
