Serbian team Mega MIS will face USC in two friendly games to be played in Mykonos, the team announced Wednesday.
Participating in the developing process of Nikola Jokic, Ivica Zubac, Goga Bitadze, Vasilije Micic, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Filip Petrusev, Marko Simonovic, Nikola Jovic, Vlatko Cancar, and many more players, the team based in Belgrade enjoys growing popularity mainly due to a long list of players being selected in the NBA draft over recent years. A record-breaking total of 15 youngsters have been drafted directly out of Mega.
Facing the University of Southern California on 9 and 11 August brings both Bronny James and DJ Rodman to Mykonos. Ahead of the 2022-23 NCAA season, the son of LeBron James committing to USC was closely followed by the son of Dennis Rodman announcing his transfer from Washington State.
The school recently confirmed a 10-day exhibition tour to Greece and Croatia this summer from 5 to 15 August. Apart from Mykonos, a Greek island attracting plenty of tourists from all around the world every summer, the Trojans will also play in Dubrovnik, among the main tourist destinations of Croatia.
“We are excited to announce our 2023 Summer Tour to Greece and Croatia,” said head coach Andy Enfield, “This is a great opportunity for our student-athletes and staff to enjoy a unique educational and cultural experience in three amazing cities. The three games against competitive professional teams will be invaluable to the development of the 2023-24 squad.”
