Around a year ago, Andrej Stojaković was undecided between representing Serbia or Greece. However, according to Svetislav Pešić, he has now chosen the country his father, former NBA star Peja Stojaković, represented.

The head coach of the Serbian national team believes Andrej has decided in favor of Serbia.

As far as I know, he’s decided to play for the Serbian national team. According to FIBA rules, he had to wait a certain number of years to become eligible because he holds multiple citizenships, as his parents were born here and in Greece,” Svetislav Pešić said on the “Kida Show.

The 20-year-old Stojaković currently plays college basketball for the California Golden Bears in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Due to his father’s background, Andrej is eligible to represent Serbia internationally, while his mother’s background makes him eligible to represent Greece. However, according to Pešić, he has chosen Serbia.
